Our Mission
Informed Peptide exists to fill a critical information gap: reliable, objective, science-backed reference content on peptides and GLP-1 agonists for everyone who needs it.
Why We Built This
Peptide research is advancing at a remarkable pace. GLP-1 agonists have reshaped obesity medicine. Healing peptides are generating serious scientific interest. Longevity researchers are studying compounds that may influence aging at the cellular level.
Yet finding accurate, unbiased information about these compounds is surprisingly difficult. Much of what exists online is either promotional content from vendors, outdated, technically impenetrable, or buried in academic paywalls.
We built Informed Peptide to change that — a platform that applies rigorous editorial standards to peptide science, helping patients understand what they're considering, clinicians access reliable reference data, and researchers find clear summaries of the literature.
What We Stand For
Our editorial standards and operating principles.
Science First
Every monograph, article, and claim on this platform is grounded in published research. We cite sources and clearly distinguish established science from preliminary findings.
Regulatory Clarity
The peptide regulatory landscape is complex and evolving. We track FDA policy, compounding classifications, and enforcement actions so you understand the legal context.
Accessible to All
Whether you're a patient researching options, a clinician seeking reference data, or a researcher exploring the literature — our content meets you where you are.
No Conflicts of Interest
We do not sell peptides, accept payments from compounding pharmacies, or take sponsored content from manufacturers. Our content is independent and objective.
Our Editorial Team
Content on Informed Peptide is written and reviewed by contributors with real scientific and clinical credentials.
Dr. Sarah Kimura, PharmD, BCPS
Contributing Science Editor
Dr. Kimura is a clinical pharmacist and board-certified pharmacotherapy specialist with a focus on peptide pharmacokinetics and GLP-1 agonist therapy. She reviews all monographs for pharmacological accuracy and regulatory compliance.
No financial interests in any peptide manufacturer, compounding pharmacy, or supplement brand.
James Orwell, MSc (Biochemistry)
Research Writer
James Orwell is a science writer with a master's degree in biochemistry. He translates primary research on peptide mechanisms, clinical trials, and regulatory developments into accessible reference content for patients, clinicians, and researchers.
No financial relationships with any commercial entity in the peptide supply chain.
Editorial Standards
Citations & References
All factual claims are supported by citations to peer-reviewed research, official regulatory documents, or authoritative government sources. We clearly distinguish between well-established findings and preliminary research.
Medical Disclaimer Policy
Every page containing health information includes a clear medical disclaimer. We do not make therapeutic claims. We report on what research shows, not what any compound will do for you specifically.
Regulatory Accuracy
FDA status, compounding classifications, and legal frameworks are reviewed regularly. We note when information may be subject to change and date our monographs accordingly.
No Financial Conflicts
We do not accept payment from compounding pharmacies, peptide manufacturers, distributors, or telehealth providers in exchange for editorial coverage. Our directory, when launched, will involve a transparent verification and listing process disclosed to readers.
How We Review Content
Content is produced by science writers and reviewed by clinically trained editors with backgrounds in pharmacology, biochemistry, and regulatory affairs. Every monograph is cross-referenced against peer-reviewed literature; claims are cited at the sentence level where possible. We distinguish between established science, preliminary findings, and animal-only data. No content is sponsored. No vendor has editorial input. Pages are dated and reviewed annually or when significant new research is published.
Medical Disclaimer
Informed Peptide is an informational platform only. Content on this site does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations. Peptide research is ongoing; many compounds described here have not completed human clinical trials and are not FDA-approved for therapeutic use. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before considering any peptide therapy.
